SSC Prep ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our free mobile application (package ID: ssc.practice.test) for SSC CGL, CHSL, MTS, and GD practice in India (Hindi and English).

Information We Collect

No Account or Identity Collection

SSC Prep does not require sign-in and does not collect names, phone numbers, email addresses, or payment information through the app.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores data locally on your device, including:

• Language preference (English / Hindi)
• Selected exam (CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD)
• Practice progress (attempts, accuracy, scores) for on-device tracking
• Quiz session state while you practice

This local data stays on your device unless you clear app data or uninstall the app.

Internet Features

When you use certain features, the app may connect to the internet:

• Old papers catalog: Fetches a public papers list from GitHub (raw content hosting) so you can browse SSC-pattern practice papers.
• Practice PDFs: Downloads or streams practice paper PDFs you open in the in-app viewer.
• Official SSC link: Opens the Staff Selection Commission previous-year papers page in your browser when you choose that link. That site is operated by SSC, not by us.

How We Use Information

• To provide mock tests, subject practice, results, and progress on your device
• To load practice paper catalogs and PDFs you request
• To open external links you explicitly tap

We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

Third-Party Services

Depending on the features you use, third parties may process limited technical data (such as IP address and request logs) under their own policies, for example:

• GitHub (hosting for papers catalog and practice PDF files)
• Staff Selection Commission website (ssc.gov.in) if you open the official papers link
• Google Play services related to app distribution and updates

Advertising & Analytics

SSC Prep does not currently include third-party advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs that track you across apps. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy before enabling such features.

Children's Privacy

The app is intended for educational use by people preparing for SSC exams in India. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.

Data Retention & Your Controls

• Local app data remains until you clear storage or uninstall the app
• You can stop network use by not opening Old papers / PDF features (core quiz content bundled in the app works offline once installed)
• Emails you send to us may be retained as needed to handle your request

App Permissions

• Internet: papers catalog, practice PDF loading, opening official SSC links
• Storage (app sandbox): local preferences and progress

SSC Prep is an independent educational practice app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) or any government body.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
